Separate, sealed bids for the Washington Township Road Repairs 2018 Project will be received by the Washington Township Supervisors at the Municipal Building at 1390 Fayette Avenue, Belle Vernon PA, 15012 until 3:00 p.m., June 4, 2018. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:00 p.m. the special meeting
Construction of Phase 1 includes 4” milling of portions of Axton St. and 1.5” overlay of Axton, Dull and Lincoln Streets, to be completed by July 6, 2018, and Phase 2 includes scratch and overlay of Connellsville Road From the Fayette City Line to Perry Avenue, to be completed by July 27, 2018 with liquidated damages of $870.00/day extending beyond these dates.

Contract Documents may be obtained at K2 Engineering Inc., address above, (724) 439-3440, upon a nonrefundable payment of check or money order of Twenty Five ($25.00) Dollars for each set. Checks should be made payable to K2 Engineering Inc. Only complete sets will be issued. Contract Documents will be provided (mailed, emailed, or picked up) upon receipt of payment.
BID SECURITY: Certified check or satisfactorily executed bid bond for Ten Percent (10%) of Base Bid payable to Washington Township, Fayette County, Pa. All costs are non-refundable. All Bid Bonds must be signed by a PA resident agent.
Submitted bids must include all required items as stated in the bid documents.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payments Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract Price with a surety company listed on the Treasury Department’s most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to conduct business in the State of Pennsylvania. All bidders must hold a current Pennsylvania contractor’s license on the date of the Bid Opening.
This contract will be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended 43 P.S. section 165 et. Seq. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days once filed with the Township.
Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. Washington Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. Washington Township is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
